About R&D Renova
'R&D Renova' research and innovations center total area 25 447 sq.m. offers premises for lease to partners and participants of Skolkovo Foundation. In the frame of Skolkovo Project Partners can allocate their production, laboratories and offices, develop and commercialise new technologies and services.
Design of 'R&D Renova' Center is developed by EGM Architecten, the Dutch Bureau. The leading multinational firm Ove Arup & Partners designed high-end technological and engineering solutions. The Building meets LEED Silver requirements (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) - an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.
Architects created a unique concept of production and laboratory complex harmonising urbanistic brutal exterior (panoramic glass, layers of milky and beige tile of the second skin, crossed by vertical balks made of corten steel) with eco-friendly soft interior and common area, wooden lamellae and maximum penetration of light through the atrium glass roof.
Professional organisation 'Interregional Union of auditors in the field of energy security' referred 'R&D Renova' building to A class of energy.
Multi-level (3-5 story) complex with green roof facilities was commissioned in June 2016 and since then has been successfully functioning as a production and laboratories center.
Three key tenants occupy 2/3 of the premises in R&D Renova:
Stentex LLC (production of coronary stents), Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (oil and gas research center) and IT Plus (IT technologies).
Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology
To create a unique laboratory Skoltech has rented about 1000 sq.m. in R&D Renova.
Stentex, a joint venture between the Renova Group and Medtronic, a global leader in medical technology, is a largest localization project in the Russian medical technology industry.
'IT Plus' company was founded in 2016 to develop and integrate information technologies and programmes as well as services to 'T Plus' company.
